1995 US Navy Mark V Helmet 80th Anniversary 1915-1995 Commemorative Mark V helmet by DESCO

A double tinned standard U.S. Navy Mark V air helmet produced to commemorate the creation of the original model of the helmet in 1915. It was introduced into service in 1916 and remained the navy's standard helmet through to the 1980's. Each helmet has an HDS custom sterling silver plaque designed by Torgny Jewelers and the standard DESCO company plaque. All four straps are individually serial numbered and have custom HDS sterling silver helmet logos on them. Constructed to U.S. Navy specifications by DECSO who manufactured this model of helmet for the navy from 1942 onwards. A Limited Edition of 20 individually numbered helmets with HDS Certificates of Authenticity, were manufactured and available at $3,900 each. SOLD OUT.
