Company Information

Shortly after Joe Savoie brought his helmet on the market, American Bob Ratcliffe introduced his "Rat Hat". This hat is made of fiber-glass and is a negative-buoyancy helmet. The rights to produce it were taken over by Oceaneering International. The helmet is no longer in production.

Bob met with Ben Miller and this great picture was taken! Bob in a Miller hat and Ben in a Rat Hat!

A brilliant red 'Rat Hat' in immaculate condition. On the right hand side of this helmet is
a valve allowing the diver to introduce air directly into the suit to increase buoyancy.

Right and left hand views of the 'Rat Hat'.

Rear view of the helmet . Here we see the second stage regulator mounted on the rear of the helmet.
The comms connector can also be seen entering the helmet in the rear.
